Mhambi

HERD Mhambi is a handmade crochet elephant and a small ambassador for the HERD Elephant Orphanage in South Africa. The project, inspired by a rescued elephant calf named Jabulani, aims to raise awareness for elephant conservation and orphaned elephants by taking Mhambi on “journeys” around the world to spread its message. The name “Mhambi” means “traveller” in Zulu.
